"Back in 1980 I started writing a book that I planned to illustrate. I wrote bits of different
chapters, did some character sketches, and even started some paintings. The project was too time consuming, as I was working
full time as a commercial artist and managed a print shop at a medical center. I was also competing in triathlons and the
training took most of my free time. Eventually I shelved the book idea. Twenty years later I decided to finish this painting
of the evil sorcerer from my story. He has some living tatoos on his face so his appearance would be ever changing. The Sorcerer
was painted with watercolors."
